in Flowsaber Carbon Questions

so contemplating getting the 18 inch for flow

Version 1 overall is 14 inch including pommel and emitter

my question is. is the 18 inch hilt actually 18 inches ?

or does that measurement include the pommel and emitter

can you tell me the overall length of the emitter section (that sticks out of the end of the hilt

and same for the Pommel

so If the Emitter is 2 inches and pommel another 2 inches (version 1 pommel is 1.5 inches aprox)

if we say for math sake they are 2 inches each

then my 18 inch saber is now 22 inches long with a 25 inch blade

just want to know the math on the length of things...

Got the answer the Emitter and the Pommel add about 5 1/2 inches to the length so if you order an 18 inch hilt your end result will be 18+5.5 inches so your saber will be 23.5 inches

correct! With the pommel attached to the end of the hilt, it will add an additional 2.5 inches and the blade holder will add on avg 3 additional inches (depending on which core you are using). Keep in mind the blade goes in the blade holder core about 1.25 inches. We also have a length chart guide for each blade length choice. A 14"-16" hilt length is also a popular flow hilt length, but remember, if you want a saberstaff, you will need an additional 16"+ hilt.

We typically recommend any size above 16" for flow.

If you only plan on sparring, we recommend a 9" hilt which feels very comfortable if you are used to single-hand swords and longswords that are well-balanced. We've thoroughly tested each configuration possible for every application, so if you need guidance on choosing a configuration for a specific application, we are here to help!
